Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS released
Ubuntu team has announced the release of Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS. It is the 4th maintenance update to the Ubuntu 10.04 release. This release promises a host of notable changes. Along with it, Kubuntu 10.04.4 has also been released. Find out what all these twin release features.
Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS is the last maintenance release for the 10.04 series that has been planned. In future,the updates and fixes can be downloaded individually from the Ubuntu archive, no further updates to installation media will be provided for this release. The main changes in this release include
- an updated server
- an updated desktop
- alternate installation CDs and DVDs for the i386 and amd64 architectures
Kubuntu 10.04.4 release entails updated images for the desktop and alternate installation CDs and DVDs for the i386 and amd64 architectures.
The next LTS release (12.04 LTS) is slated to be out in April 2012.
