Precise Pangolin Alpha 2 : a sneak peek into Ubuntu 12.04, out!!!
Precise Pangolin Alpha 2 Release of Ubuntu 12.04 is a developer snapshot in order to give you a sneak peek at the next version of Ubuntu. This Alpha 2 release is the second in the list of milestone images set to be released throughout the Precise development cycle.
This is also the first Ubuntu milestone release which contains images for the armhf architecture, for the ARM CPUs that use the hard-float ABI.
This release features the following new packages
- Linux Kernel 3.2.2 (3.2.0-12.21)
- Upstart 1.4
- Unity 5.0
- LibreOffice 3.5 beta 2
Alpha 2 also entails a number of software updates all set for wider testing. Since this is an early set of images,some bugs are expected.
