Twisted Matrix Laboratories has released the new Twisted 11.1.0 with a lot of new features, a lot of improvements as well as bug fixes.

Some of the main features of the new release are :

• The new version has the poll reactor as default where applicable, as an alternative to ‘select everywhere’.
• There is a new SSL implementation that relies on OpenSSL for cryptography which makes it more robust.
• A lot of upgrade has been made to the fresh HTTP/1.1 client execution, which includes proxy and cookie support.
• A new ‘how-to’ has been published on test-driven development with Twisted.
• The new abortConnection support on TCP and SSL connections
